MeMo was launched as a news bulletin in November 2011 and is distributed monthly to the CAESAR community of over 1,700 experts. MeMo has a permanent team and an editorial board. MeMo offers a succinct, critical retrospective of relevant news in the international press on Romanian economics, politics, security, and social issues.
News articles are selected based on the following criteria:
– medium- and long-term relevance for Romania;
– vision and predictive value;
– outlet credibility;
– originality, novelty, and depth of the analysis;
Among the publications surveyed periodically by MeMo CAESAR are: The Washington Post, The New York Times, Huffington Post, Bloomberg, Der Spiegel, The Guardian, The Economist, Le Monde, El Pais, Deutsche Welle, EU Observer.
